I recently finished serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Alan C. Kay of the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii. During my federal clerkship, I drafted orders regarding complex constitutional laws, governmental sovereignty, and federal election laws.
Prior to becoming a clerk, I worked as a litigation associate in the New York office of Sidley Austin LLP. I drafted briefs and legal memoranda on a variety of complex issues including securities fraud, employment discrimination, and criminal defense. In addition, Sidley awarded my hard work with a five-month legal fellowship at a pro bono organization designed to help women abused by domestic violence. As a legal fellow, I conducted depositions, regularly attended hearings, and acted as lead counsel in a trial in the New York State Supreme Court.
As a law student, I graduated magna cum laude from New York Law School and also served as an associate editor of the New York Law School Law Review. In addition, I won the Dr. Max Reich Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and the Public Service Award for dedication to public service.
