Injury Board Attorney Member

Gabrielle D'Alemberte

Gabrielle's Biography

I am a practicing attorney in South Florida.  I am a native Miamian and have been practicing since 1996, when I graduated from the University Of Denver School Of Law.  In 2012 I started my own firm, The D'Alemberte Trial Firm, which concentrates almost exclusively on airline disasters, wrongful death, class actions, resort litigation, contingency commercial litigation, products liability and a host of other kinds of personal injury and negligence cases.

I am dedicated to protecting individual rights, consumer protection and advancing the spirit of justice. Of grave concern to my firm is the dwindling access to Courts.  With recent preemption, waiver laws, forum selection clauses and simple costs of litigation, the average person does not have the means to retain a lawyer which is why my practice is entirely contingency-based.

I am an active lobbyist on safety issues, judicial diversity and reform, as well as protection of civil liberties for Florida citizens.  I am a six generation Florida lawyer, so I come by this profession naturally.  My father, Sandy D’Alemberte, is a world renowned first amendment lawyer and served as President of the American Bar Association (ABA) and later President of Florida State University (FSU).

Community Involvement:

For more than a decade, I have been an active volunteer leader in the South Florida community. I am active in a number of community service organizations focusing on youth, the environment, education and healthcare, including the Junior League of Miami, which provides seed funding and volunteer support for community projects; Innocence Project, which concentrates on the appeals of falsely accused and wrongly convicted citizens; Educate Tomorrow, which I was recently added to the Board of Directors and which is a mentoring group who help foster children in the college admission process as well as helping to identify and secure funding for education; and Fair Districts Florida, a committee dedicated to advancing reform of Florida’s political regions and creating fair and impartial voting districts.

A member of the Florida Bar, Southern, Northern and Middle Districts of Florida United States District Courts, I am trained as a Victim-Offender Mediator by the Restorative Justice Center in Tallahassee and served as a Certified County Court Mediator for which I was honored for my service. I received the Florida Supreme Court Pro Bono Award for my work with the Legal Aid Foundation of Tallahassee and was honored by the Junior League for my contributions as a SPAC advocate on domestic violence and child protection issues.

A leader in the state’s legal profession, I served on the Florida Bar’s Judicial Evaluation Committee, which focuses on reform in the judicial system, and remain dedicated to diversity among Courts.  I am on the Board of Directors and Nominating Committee for the Florida Justice Association (FJA) and serve as a liaison to the Third District Court of Appeals.  I am also on the Nominating Committee for Florida Justice PAC (the political leg of the organization), and was elected to the Board of Directors for the Miami-Dade Justice Association.  In addition, I remain involved in the election cycle advocacy program, lobbying in Tallahassee for access to courts, consumer protection laws and unconstitutional limits on recovery in cases.
