Garry's Biography

Garry R. Salomon has practiced law in New Jersey since 1977. During the past three decades, he has helped thousands of people and families affected by almost every type of personal injury claim imaginable.

After graduating Bergenfield High School, he attended Fairleigh Dickinson University, where in 1974 he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. After working briefly for a big eight accounting firm, he entered law school. Three years later, he received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Akron. In 1977, he was admitted to the New Jersey bar and began his law practice.

Garry Salomon is a founding member and serves as the managing director of Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C. His main practice areas of concentration include all areas of personal injury law. He particularly enjoys the courtroom environment and concentrates on bringing his cases to the trial stage. His courtroom experience qualified him to become certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney, a designation held by less than 3 percent of all of New Jersey's licensed lawyers.

Although most of his cases are resolved prior to trial, he has been quoted as saying,

An insurance company will consider paying fair and just compensation only if they see that the plaintiff is ready to let a jury decide the case. However, if an insurance company is unwilling to deal fairly with the plaintiff, I then trust a jury to decide the outcome.

Garry Salomon has consistently given back to the legal community by being an active member of the American Association for Justice and The New Jersey Association for Justice (NJAJ). He currently is an officer of NJAJ, New Jersey's largest trial lawyers association, and has been appointed to its Board of Governors for the past twelve consecutive years.

On February 25, 2006, Garry Salomon presented a lecture to the attendees of the NJAJ Pines Seminar entitled "Summation: Bringing it Home." In conjunction with the seminar, the New Jersey Lawyer published an article with the same title authored by Mr. Salomon.

Garry Salomon has served as Co-Chairman and program chair for NJAJ's Trial Academy, where he has lectured on "The Art of Direct Examination." He also has lectured at NJAJ's annual Boardwalk Convention. He founded and acts as co-moderator and co-chairperson of the 2000-2010 annual "Litigation at Sunrise" Boardwalk Seminar. In 2008, Garry R. Salomon was honored to be selected as a member of NJAJ's "Dream Team," which demonstrated the proper methods to employ when trying automobile accident cases. On November 13, 2009, together with his partner Marc Saperstein, he moderated a seminar entitled "Trial Evidence" at NJAJ's annual Meadowlands Seminar.
