After practicing insurance defense in the areas of medical malpractice and workers' compensation, I decided that I wanted to help people that were catastrophically injured. I began a plaintiff centric settlement planning practice. As part of my practice, I found that the injury victims I worked with needed public assistance preservation. I began providing legal services to these clients and ultimately founded the Special Needs Law Firm which focuses on complex legal issues that arise when a personal injury case is settled. My practice focuses on Medicaid preservation techniques for the disabled and Medicare Secondary Payer Compliance including Medicare Set Aside advisement. I also draft settlement trusts along with Qualified Settlement Funds. A growing part of my practice is expert work in the field of Medicare Secondary Payer Compliance. I also routinely consult on complex lien resolution issues. I am married with three children and reside in Orlando, Florida. Outside of work, I am an avid cyclist. I enjoy surfing and different water sports. I spend a lot of time traveling with my kids for soccer and lacrosse.
