John F. McCormick, Jr., has over thirty seven years of trial experience. Mr. McCormick is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He has been selected for recognition by Super Lawyers and by Best Lawyers in America. He has represented defendants and their insurers as well as persons who have been injured by defective products, medical negligence, vehicular crashes, and in insurance disputes. John also has represented employers in the defense of wrongful termination cases.
From 1988 through 2010, John was an Adjunct Settlement Judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma. He now provides his services in private mediations and arbitrations through Dispute Resolutions Consultants. He is a Master Emeritus in the Hudson-Wheaton Chapter of the American Inns of Court.
John has been admitted to practice before the United State District Courts for the Northern, Western, and Eastern Districts for Oklahoma, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas, the U. S. District Court for the Southern District of California (San Diego), as well as the Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit.
John graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1966 with a B.A. in government. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1974. He served with the United States Marine Corps from 1967 until 1971 as a naval flight officer ; and from 1974 to 1976 as a Staff Judge Advocate.
