Joshua's Biography

Josh Hayes has practiced at Prince, Glover & Hayes in Tuscaloosa, Alabama since May 2004. He became a partner in the firm in May 2010. The firm’s areas of practice include personal injury, automobile collisions, 18-wheeler collisions, wrongful death, product liability, insurance fraud, industrial injuries, and environmental cases.

Josh is a Charter Member of the Advocates of Justice Fund Society, which raises money for the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation, the charitable arm of the Alabama Association for Justice. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation. Josh is a member of the prestigious Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a distinction shared by only 1,000 lawyers in the United States.

In 2013, Josh was awarded the Inaugural Gregory S. Cusimano Award by the Alabama Association for Justice’s Emerging Leaders Caucus for his work as Chair of ALAJ’s Emerging Leaders’ Caucus.
Josh further contributes to the community through pro bono work offered by the Alabama Bar Association’s Volunteer Lawyers Program.


Josh and his wife Jennifer have two daughters, Stella Grace and Caroline.  They attend Church of the Highlands.

Other Activities, Interests, and Memberships

Josh was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 2004. He is the current Treasurer of the Alabama Association for Justice where he also serves on the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and Legislative Committee and is the past Chair of the Emerging Leaders Section. He is also a member of the American Association for Justice.

Josh serves on the Board of Directors of the Good Samaritan Clinic, a Tuscaloosa medical clinic treating disadvantaged citizens who are without health insurance. He is a former member of The University’s Honors College Board of Visitors and the advisory board of The University of Alabama’s Blackburn Institute, a group whose purpose is to create a network of student leaders who strive to improve the quality of life for all of Alabama’s citizens.

In 2012, Josh was selected to become a member Class 8 of the Alabama State Bar’s Leadership Forum. He was recognized as an Alabama SuperLawyer in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. In 2012 and 2013, he was selected for national membership into The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 under 40 (one of only 40 trial lawyers in the state of Alabama chosen “based on performance as an exceptional young trial lawyer.”)

In 2014, he was named of Alabama’s Top 100 Trial Lawyers by the National Trial Lawyers and was honored by the American Society of Legal Advocates as one of the Top 40 under 40 Litigation Lawyers in Alabama. Also in 2014, Josh was appointed by the Supreme Court of Alabama to the Standing Committee on Alabama Rules of Civil Procedure.

The American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys recognized Josh as one of the “10 Best” personal injury attorneys in Alabama in 2014. In 2012, he was recognized as one of Alabama’s Outstanding Young Lawyers by the American Registry.
