Lindsay's Biography

Treat people as you want to be treated.  It sounds like a simple concept but it seems to be evaporating in our society.  I'm a simple person.  I was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois by two educators.  We had a close knit family that was rocked by cancer three times.  I have seen family members denied insurance benefits for crucial cancer treatments after paying premiums for decades.  I have watched people who are already suffering and fighting for their lives, distracted by concerns over mounting bills.



Insurance companies prey on the little people.  Big companies protect the bottom line.  The injured continue to be victimized.  And they don't have a fighting chance without us.  We have to fight for the injured on all cases - big and small.  But more importantly, we have to change the direction we are going here.  We must educate the public not only as to their legal rights but also how to avoid injury in the first place.  Know safety, no injuries - another simple concept, but a crucial one to change our path.

Other Activities, Interests, and Memberships

I love my job but when I am not working, I find myself at the St. Louis Zoo, Magic House, Science Center, and local parks with my partner, Kris and our two hilarious little girls, Parker and Sydney. I proudly support Families Like Ours, the Human Rights Campaign, Promo, and Lawyers for Equality.

Because I think it is important to support local education programs, I also enjoy teaching Business Ethics and The U.S. Constitution at Fontbonne University.

Cancer has touched my life many times and I find this disease has touched most people in one way or another. I am a proud supporter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and participate in the yearly St. Louis Light the Night Walk. I also donate my time and resources to Amp'd Up Against ALS and Aiming for the Answer (autism).
